There have been great resistance in university colleges in Norway concerning validation of prior learning. For students in vocational teacher education in Norway, this resistance is a great challenge. These adult students (average of 40 years old) applying for Vocational teacher education, holds education and prior learning equivalent to parts of the educations curriculum and learning outcomes. This reseach project, from which I will present findings, enlighten a method for validation of prior learning resulting in reduction of content and duration of the vocational teacher education, for many students.
