The Competence Game and cards is an attractive tool to support articulation of and reflection over the concept and the value of key competences.

The Competence Game and cards is an attractive tool to support articulation of and reflection over the concept and the value of key competences. It’s a starting point and a complement to other validation tools.

The Competence cards supports identification/clarification and documentation of competences gained in the non-formal and informal learning sector. Focus is on general key competences – as social competences, learning competences etc. The Game and the cards teach the players a vocabulary to describe the complex concept of competences and relate them to their own experience and a specific context.

And not at least: The game is entertaining and it works as platform for a dialog about competences, how they are acquired, and how they can be used in connection to different jobs and functions.

In this workshop you will get an introduction to the Competence Game and we will also try to play the game ourselves.

The Game is developed by Danish Adult Education Association, Association of Day High Schools and  NVR, The Program for Validation (?), in cooperation with a professional game developer, MOCH A/s.
